  In the centre is Peter Munk (1927-2018 ), whose grandfather Gábor Munk (1865-1955) was a younger brother of Ernő Munkácsi’s father Bernát Munkácsi (1860-1937, born Munk). In the background are Peter’s classmates at Budapest’s Neolog Jewish high-school (Pesti Izraelita Hitközség Gimnáziuma), and in the foreground far left their teacher Fülöp Grünvald (1887-1964), a distinguished historian. Next to Grünvald are two of Ernő Munkácsi’s first cousins: Peter’s father, Lajos Munk, and Ilona Resofsky.
