                <text>A zsidó hagyományban a halottakra a halálozási évforduló napján (judendeutsch elnevezéssel: jahrzeit) szokás megemlékezni. A megfelelő dátumok rögzítése, és a családi emlékezet számára való megőrzése miatt szokássá vált a halálozási napok feljegyzése. A hajdan díszes jahrzeit tábla pergamenre készült, s a betűk annyira lekoptak róla, hogy már szinte csak a hajdan tintával fedett részek relatív tisztasága alapján állapítható meg a szöveg. A központi motívum az osztrák császári koronával díszített baldachin alatt térdeplő Dávid király alakja, mellette a hárfa. A baldachin az elhalt családtagok neveiből és halálozási dátumaikból áll, a kivehető dátumok: 1844, 1854. A kép keretét két bibliai történet parafrázisa adja, a külső sorban Dávid király, a belsőben pedig József történetére utaló mondatokkal. A tárgy ismeretlen módon, 1911–ben került a gyűjteménybe. Régi leltári száma a 28–as volt, és a tárgy hátoldalán jelezték, hogy a gyűjtemény első pergamen darabja. </text>

                <text>Az emancipálódó zsidó közösség legbefolyásosabb sajtóorgánumát, az Egyenlőséget 1881-ben alapította Bogdányi Mór, amely már az 1882-es tiszaeszlári vérvádper idején jelentőssé vált azzal, hogy rendszeresen tudósított a per tárgyalásáról. Szabolcsi Miksa, majd fia, Lajos főszerkesztősége idején a lap országos visszhangot kiváltó cikkeivel a neológ zsidó közélet megteremtőjévé és irányítójává vált. Az Egyenlőség hasábjain merült fel először egy magyar zsidó múzeum létrehozásának gondolata is. 1938-as betiltásáig a lap rendszeresen közölt a múzeummal, a múzeumi gyűjtemény fejlődésével kapcsolatos cikkeket. 1930-ban az újság félszázados jubileumát nyolcnapos ünnepségsorozattal köszöntötték, amelyen szinte minden hitközség és zsidó egyesület részt vett. A gratuláló levelek ezrei között kapta a szerkesztőség a Magyar Zsidók Egyesületének ezüstlemezre vésett emléklapját, amelyet az akkori főszerkesztő, Szabolcsi Lajos helyezett el a lap bábáskodásával megszületett Magyar Zsidó Múzeum gyűjteményében.&#13;
