Fenntartott diákotthont, tanoncotthonokat, fiú- és egy leányotthonokat működtetett, volt könyvtára és kultúrotthona is. A gyermekvédelemből is kivette a részét: az Izraelita Szünidei Gyermekteleppel közösen évente 800-1000 pesti szegény iskolásgyermek vidéki nyaralását tette lehetővé. Founded in 1909, the National Hungarian Jewish Educational Association, abbreviated as OMIKE was an association with thousands of members of the Pest Jewish Community supported by prominent personalities of the Hungarian Jewish public life. It has built a diverse, well-functioning institutional system in which the charitable social and cultural activity were intertwined. OMIKE set up several cultural and welfare institution, e.g. kitchen for students, library, lodging for Jewish industry and trade students, summer camps. Actors, singers, artists, who could not operate under the anti-Semitic restrictions imposed after 1939 received assistance and protection.
