A héber betűk számértékéből számított dátumot a „Teljes felépülést Izrael egész népének” mondat pirossal írt betűinek számértékéből nyerhetjük.

Adjon a Mindenható, hosszú egészséges életet, szép pátriárka kort, a mi szeretett Főtisztelendő Urunknak családja körében, örömben, nyugalomban, félelem nélküli gondtalanságban és jó egészségben.

(...) Elment Szombathelyre, onnan disszidált.” Sokan gondolkoztak a pápai Grünvald József rabbihoz hasonlóan, Szombathelyre mentek, ahonnan közel volt a határ, és a helyi ortodox közösségben találhattak segítőket. „Wosner Gyula sokaknak segített a szökésben, nagyszerű személyes kapcsolatai voltak, és biztos anyagilag sem járt rosszul.” Nem mindenkinek sikerült, ezért a szombathelyi börtönben jelentős számú vallásos zsidót tartottak fogva, akiket illegális határátlépés (vagy annak kísérlete) miatt tartóztattak le. A szombathelyi rabbi, Horowitz József amennyit tudott, segített nekik: kóser élelmezéssel, lelki táplálékkal. A rabbi betegsége idején, 1949 novemberében börtönben lévő hívei szép levélben kívántak neki gyors felépülést.

– írta a Magyar Zsidó Múzeum Bizottsága 1912 szeptember 20-án kelt gyűjtési felhívásában.
A múzeumi gyűjteményeket kiegészítő fényképes adattárak létrehozása a 19. század végére általános muzeológiai gyakorlattá vált.
A fényképek mára felbecsülhetetlen értékű dokumentációs értéke mellett a korábban csak zsidó szertartási környezetben látható tárgyakat, zsinagógai tereket beemelte a zsidóságról szóló kulturális diskurzus világába. </text>

<text>A felszabadulás után lassan újrainduló zsidó kulturális életnek a kommunista párt politikája vetett véget. A szovjet típusú rendszer eleve gyanakvással kezelt mindenféle kisebbséget, de Izrael Állam 1948-as megalakulását követően különösen ellenségesen szemlélte a zsidó nemzeti ideológiát, a cionizmust.
Az 1980-as évekre e téren is puhult a rendszer, a magyar
holokauszt negyvenedik évfordulójára rendezett megemlékezés-sorozat részeként már propaganda célú fényképalbumot készítettek a magyar zsidók életéről. Az egyik képen az ortodox zsidó óvodában Piroska néni tanítja a gyerekeknek a héber betűket. Előttük az asztalon a Tel Aviv-ban, a Sinai kiadónál megjelent Kol Jehuda héber abc és olvasókönyv fekszik.

<p>Kornfeld 1852-ben született a csehországi Goltsch-Jenikauban. A konszolidációt betetőző Wekerle-féle pénzreformban, a korona 1892-es bevezetésében is döntő szerepet játszott. A huszadik század első évtizedére Kornfeld a magyar politikai-gazdasági elit köztiszteletnek örvendő és megkerülhetetlen tagjává vált. 1901 decemberétől a Felsőház örökös tagja, 1909-ben (halála előtt) megkapta a bárói címet is, azaz a magyarul sem tudó szegény banki mindenesből harminc év alatt magyar nemessé vált. Ugyanakkor nem keresztelkedett ki, sőt komoly szerepet vállalt a zsidó közéletben is.</p></text>
