Az OMZSA számára jelentősebb összeget adományozók kapták meg az Örkényi Strasser István által tervezett bronzplakettet, az „áldozatos kötelességteljesítés ércbevésett dokumentumát”. Az érem egyik oldalán egy nő és egy gyermek alakja mellett az OMZSA jelmondata: „Testvéredet ne hagyd el!” olvasható, másik oldalán pedig az OMZSA jelvénye és a donációra utaló szöveg: „Ezen érem tulajdonosa teljesítette kötelességét az OMZSA-val szemben.” A plakettet a fiatal szobrászművész, Örkényi Strasser István (1911–1944) készítette, akinek szépen induló pályáját 1941-től a munkaszolgálat szakította félbe. A Szatmár megyei Nagykároly földesura, Károlyi Sándor 1740–ben ötven telket bocsátott zsidók rendelkezésére a kastélya mellett, hogy megtelepedjenek az elnéptelenedett városban.
