Title A name given to the resource Rimonpár (Tóratekercs dísz) Torah finials (Torah scroll adornment) Description An account of the resource A tóratekercs legrégebben kialakult díszei közé tartoznak a tekercset tartó fa rudak végére helyezett rimonok. A rimon héberül gránátalmát jelent, ami ősi szimbóluma a termékenységnek, gazdagságnak, s átvitt értelemben a tórának is. Írott források már a 11. századtól utalnak rimonokra, de tárgyi emlékünk csak jóval későbbről van. A rimonpárok időben később kialakult, az askenáz kultúrkörben elterjedt változata az építészeti elemeket felmutató, tornyos, emeletes forma. A gazdag, barokk stílusú rimonok teste hatosztású, két emeletes, kupolás tornyot ábrázol. Az emeleteken baldachinos fülkékben héber magyarázó feliratokkal ellátott öntött tárgyak vannak. Az apró tárgyak az ókori jeruzsálemi szentélyre utalnak. Az első emeleten a Szentély felszerelési tárgyait az arany menórát, a füstölő oltárt, a szent kenyerek asztalát, a rézmedencét, a kőtáblákat tartalmazó, arany fedelű ládát és egy olajoskorsót láthatunk. A második emeleten a szentélyben szolgálatot teljesítő főpapok ruházatának kellékei: a tizenkét törzs szimbolikus köveivel díszített főpapi mellvért, az efód, az arany fejdísz, a nadrág, a köntös, a főpapi öv, és a füstölő látható. A fülkék előtt kis erkélyek, a fülkéket elválasztó éleken pedig gazdagon díszített áttört ornamensek vannak. A tóradísz csúcsa vázában álló virágcsokor. Mindkét rimonon hosszú láncon váltakozva három gránátalma és három csengettyű lóg, melyek ünnepélyes csilingelést biztosítanak a felöltöztetett tóratekercs mozgatásakor. A csengettyűk között gránátalma és szőlőfürt alakú díszek váltakoznak, a tóra és Izrael népének szimbólumaiként. A rimonpár Padovában készült a 18. század első felében. Hasonló rimonpárokat készítettek több észak-itáliai városban, s több hasonló példány is ismert a világ jelentősebb judaika gyűjteményeiből.
