<text>Becalél plakett
A politikai cionizmus gondolatával párhuzamosan a zsidó nemzeti gondolat a kulturális élet területén is megjelent. Ekkoriban indult a héber nyelvújító mozgalom, melynek eredményeképpen az évszázadokon keresztül a szakrális szférába visszahúzódó héber nyelv újra beszélt nyelvvé vált.
A budapesti Zsidó Múzeum 1936-ban felvette a kapcsolatot a Becalél Akadémiával, ami igazi szellemi áttörésnek számított, hiszen a magyarországi zsidó közösség hagyományosan anticionista volt. A Herzl plakettet 1936-ban, műtárgycserével szerezte meg gyűjteménye számára a Magyar Zsidó Múzeum.
