The curiosity of the Haggadah published in Metz in 1767 is that the Hebrew text is accompanied by both Yiddish and Ladino translations, the languages of the Ashkenazi and the Sephardic communities, which can be understood by the ethnic characteristics of the area. This was the first illustrated Hagaddah edition printed in France. The illustrations were taken over from the Amsterdam Haggadah of Jacob Proops, who adapted, thanks to his proselyte colleague, Matthaeus Merian’s Icones Biblicae series. The title page was left blank by the printing house and was filled out in Bratislava only after the purchase of the Haggadah, where the owner wrote his name on it. A Singer-Schlesinger hagada az öt bölcs képében a híres pozsonyi Szófer család tagjait jelenítette meg; balról jobbra: Akiva Eger, Chatam Szófer apósa, mellette leghíresebb responzumgyűjteménye alapján Chatam Szóferkét ismert pozsonyi rabbi, majd az ő fiai, Ktav Szófer és Sevet Szófer ülnek. Az árkádok alatt az elképzelt Bné Braq látszik a felkelő nap sugarai alatt. A kép a könyv megjelenésének idejében jól ismert, korábban már sokféle formáéban megjelent portrék és tájképek montázsa. A híres rabbik szinte ikonikussá vált képei korábban már megjelentek képeslapokon, újságokban, falra akasztható képeken, de akár kihímezhető változatban, textilre nyomtatva is. A háttérben a bné braqi városkép elképzelt város, a 19. század végétől elterjedt orientalizáló Szentföld ábrázolásai köszönnek vissza rajta, baloldalon Ráhel sírjának közismert képével. A hagadában megjelenő többi tizenkét képes oldal mindegyike más és más: láthatóan a nyomdában rendelkezésre álló képeket kombinálták, de éppen ezért nem alkotnak egységes vizuális világot. A hágádát megjelentető kiadó a közép-európai zsidó kultúra szimbolikus jelensége.
