Ez volt a világon az első olyan judaikákat is kiállító tárlat, amely nem csupán privát kollekciókat mutatott be, hanem egy közösség önreprezentációja is volt. A kiállítás judaikarészlegének egyik legnagyobb tárgyegyüttese az óbudai zsidó közösségtől érkezett, amely akkoriban már némiképp háttérbe szorult a pesti hitközség mellett. Az óbudai közösségé volt ez a hatalmas aranyozott ezüstserleg, amely ismerős lehetett a kiállítás látogatóinak, hiszen hasonló darabok szerepeltek a főúri gyűjteményekben is. A 17. században készült serleget felirata szerint 1792-ben vásárolták meg az Óbudai Chevra Kadisa elöljárói.
