Felülete barna alapon alul kávészemekkel díszített. A henger palástján három piros mezőben a termék márkajelezése: „עלית” (elit) és megnevezése: קפה נמס מגורען (granulált instant kávé), valamint az összetevők és a kósersági tanúsítvány szerepel héberül és angolul. Az alsó részén félig lekopott árcédula, melyen látszik az ár: 6.50 sékel, valamint a termék fogyaszhatóságának dátuma: 2001. december. A dobozba ötven gramm kávé fér; a tartály átmérője x, magassága y cm. A rendszerváltást követő határnyitás pozitív következménye volt, hogy az Izraelbe látogatóknak már nem kellett Bécsen keresztül, „repülő” vízummal, titokban látogatni az áttelepült rokonokat, ismerősöket, vagy egyszerűen felkeresni a történelmi–vallási látnivalókat. (A repülő vízum a külön papírlapra adott vízum elnevezése, melynek így nem maradt nyoma a piros vagy kék útlevélben. A svájci követségen lehetett hozzájutni azokban az években, amikor a magyar–izraeli diplomáciai kapcsolatok szüneteltek.) A kilencevenes években a zsidó fiatalok egy számottevő része „alijázott” azaz hivatalosan is Izraelbe települt, felvette az állampolgárságot, egyetemre járt, letöltötte a kötelező katonai szolgálatot. Egy részük tényleg izraelivé vált, de sokan visszajöttek, hogy innen oda, onnan ide sóvárogjanak, és amint a régi vicc találóan megfogalmazta, kizárólag útközben érezzék jól magukat. Az Elit kávé fogalom volt az Izraelbe látogató fiatalok körében, és nem véletlenül. Íze a gyerekkori Maci kávénkra emlékeztet, Izraelben is felidézve a iskolai menzák és a csillebérci nyaralások emkékét. Magyarországon viszont a doboza értékelődött fel: héber betűivel, kóserságát tanúsító pecsétjével nagyon is izraeli és zsidó, s így amellett, hogy roppant praktikus kis fémdoboz, birtoklása identitáskellékké vált. Az én kávém már rég kifogyott, ma izraeli utakról megmaradt aprópénzek (sékel) vannak benne, amik jól jönnek majd a legközelebbi látogatáskor, pl. elég lesz egy kávéra a Ben Gurion repülőtéren. A konyhapolcon áll, egyértelmű identitásjelző tárgy – látogatóimnak így nem is kell elmenni a hűtőmágnesekig, hogy felismerjék és megfejtsék identitásom egy talán kissé titokban tartott részét. Egy héber betűs izraeli kávésdoboz, és a hozzá tartozó narratíva is része lett a kiállításnak. A kiállításvezető nyomtatvány elkészítése során a héber szövegirány a tördelőprogramban megfordult, de ezt a megnyitóig még sikerült korrigálni.
