<text>Diaszpóra – a zsidó önazonosság egyik kulcsszava. (A kiállítást megnyitotta Szabó István Oscar díjas filmrendező)

A szovjet típusú rendszer eleve gyanakvással kezelt mindenféle kisebbséget, de Izrael Állam 1948-as megalakulását követően különösen ellenségesen szemlélte a zsidó nemzeti ideológiát, a cionizmust.
Az 1980-as évekre e téren is puhult a rendszer, a magyar
holokauszt negyvenedik évfordulójára rendezett megemlékezés-sorozat részeként már propaganda célú fényképalbumot készítettek a magyar zsidók életéről. Az egyik képen az ortodox zsidó óvodában Piroska néni tanítja a gyerekeknek a héber betűket. Előttük az asztalon a Tel Aviv-ban, a Sinai kiadónál megjelent Kol Jehuda héber abc és olvasókönyv fekszik.
