A kevés 19. századi kivétel egyike Mordeháj Szófer papírra, rézlemezről nyomtatott, gazdagon illusztrált megillája. Mordeháj szófer sztam, azaz tóra, tfilin és mezuza író szófer volt, aki szakrális pergamenek írásával kereste kenyerét, de számos rézmetszete és illusztrált kézirata is fennmaradt. A papírra nyomtatott megillája rituális célra nem használható, inkább a haszkalapárti, polgárosult zsidó rétegek vásárolhatták. Ez a tekercs három, összeragasztott papírlapból áll, melyre három nyomólemezről készült a szöveg és az illusztráció. A szöveg 11, különböző szélességű oszlopban jelenik meg. A tekercs elején gazdagon illusztrált keretben a megillaolvasásra mondandó áldás szövege látható.
